Specialty Lenses
Some patients, due to dry eye disease or other uncommon eye issues, can’t wear standard contacts. Thankfully, there’s a wide roster of specialty lenses available for “hard-to-fit” eyes, and many types of specialty lenses can even help improve certain eye conditions.
Scleral Lenses
We’re one of the only practices in the area that offers scleral lenses — a type of contact that vaults over the cornea and instead rests on the “whites” of the eyes, or sclera. They are highly effective at treating irregular corneas with conditions such as keratoconus, corneal scarring, or lasik complications.
Ortho-K Lenses
Orthokeratology lenses, or Ortho-K, are lenses that help control myopia in younger patients. Your child wears these lenses at night, and they gently reshape their cornea as they sleep, giving them clear vision without correction during the day while slowing the progression of their myopia.
