Our Community Initiatives

Family Vision Optical is always on the look out for ways to continue to support our community, and is proud to support a number of initiatives, including our annual holiday Eye Give Collection, our summer Eye Read Program, a Student Athlete of the Month award, sponsoring local Little League teams, a Student Scholar of the month award, and a number of sponsorships. We also have a standing order to all local school principals that we will offer eye care services to students with parents who would otherwise struggle with the financial burden.

Is My Local Organization Eligible?

Many organizations and causes are worthy of support, but unfortunately, we aren’t always able to help everyone. We hate to say no, but we will decline support if the organization or their objectives aren’t consistent with our core pillars and give preference to non-profits with current tax-exempt status. We also are unable to consider requests that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Dinners, conferences, seminars, and workshops
  • Fraternal organizations
  • Labor organizations
  • Individuals

There is no formal deadline to apply for support, as Family Vision Optical reviews them on a rolling basis. However, all requests need to be submitted at least four to six weeks prior to when the donation is needed, and proof of non-profit status is required.
